How important is CO compared to other swing states?
I heard McCain has no chance without CO and VA, but then again, CO only has 9 electoral votes. How exactly does it compare to VA, FL, OH, etc.? in terms of importance in this election?

1. If we take any one of those, we win. UPDATE:

If we win everything up to 8 points, we have 264 EVs.

Inside of 8 points: NC, OH, FL, VA, CO, IN, MO, NV, ND, MT, GA

Any one of NC, OH, FL, VA, CO, IN, MO well get us a win. NV would get us a tie (win). MT and anything else or ND and anything else, we win.

2. Colorado is very important...

because CO + NV give us a firewall under the VERY UNLIKELY SCENARIO that we lose PA.

3. It's important in the sense that
We can lose OH and FL and still win, as long as we keep the Kerry-states, Iowa, and either NM+CO or VA.

4. CO is vital to some scenarios where McCain wins PA, (which he won't)

6. It was red in 04 and we want it to go blue this time.

We want Musgrave out of the House and we want Udall in the Senate.

Plus, a big blue sweep in Colorado would really piss off Jim Dobson.

7. There's a lot of symbolism there, with Colorado Springs being the Fundie Vatican.
