Group Releases Anti-Obama DVD in Swing State Newspapers
That does it! Tomorrow morning I’m canceling my subscription to the Columbus Dispatch. First they send out the inflammatory DVD on radical Islam, then they endorse Obama, and now this!

ENOUGH!

<Snip>
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Readers of Ohio's three largest newspapers, along with papers in Florida and Nevada, are finding an anti-Barack Obama DVD in editions this week.

Citizens United, a conservative advocacy group based in Washington, plans to release a 95-minute film in the five swing-state publications to highlight Obama's record on abortion rights, foreign policy and his past associations, including his relationship with former pastor Rev. Jermiah Wright. The group said it planned to spend more than $1 million to distribute about 1.25 million copies of "Hype: The Obama Effect."
"We think it's a truthful attack. People can take it anyway they want," said David Bossie, Citizens United's president.

1. So this is what McCain was talking about when he said he would "catch up and win it" 48 hours before
the election.

They are so pathetic and desperate

3. Obama should release his own DVD in the newspapers

I wouldn't be surprised if Sinclair Broadcasting showed this movie the night before the election.

4. Since when do the American people
deserve to hear "attacks" on candidates instead of just facts. Why does 'Citizens United' think McCain's a better choice. Right wingers are so unqualified to lead that "attacks" are all they have. I hope that enough 'citizens' are educated and worn out enuogh from the RW losers that have been hurling us into danger and disaster for years to vote for the smart candidate. That is definitely *not* John Sydney McCain.

5. Interesting...this is Tuesday, right?
Did you get a DVD with your paper today? I didn't, so I'm wondering...

8. Ah, I see...well,
I get daily and haven't seen it yet. You don't suppose they had a last-minute change of heart do you? Or...more likely, it'll show up in Sunday's paper.

10. They must have just missed you and me...
... one of my coworkers got one in his Tuesday paper.

Or perhaps they knew it would make me mad so they left it out of my paper?

6. I'd defend them by saying their advertising dept ok'd it, but i know better.
I used to work for a newspaper and I know that they can choose to decline an advertiser if they feel it doesn't represent them in a good light (in our newspapers case it was not allowing a strip club to advertise) but in the failing newspaper print market, advertising directors get desperate for cash and so maybe they didn't know exactly what was on the disk and just sent it out thinking it was just an harmless political ploy. You should have your fellow Obama supporters in the area call the newspaper complain and threaten to cancel their subscriptions and you might see a notice about it in the next issue.

9. Who's going to watch a 95 minute infomercial????
Most people are going to throw that thing in the trash. If they don't and actually pop it in the DVD player, do you really think a reasonable person will sit through and watch the whole thing?

The only people who'll watch it and savor every minute of it are the palin-ites who already think he's a Muslim black separatist socialist terrorist communist.
