I just received an email from the Walt Minnick campaign (Walt is running for US House against incumbent Republican Bill Sali - this is Idaho's 1st District). We have been invited to a reception for Walt.
The woman who is hosting the reception is the owner of a company for which I recently recorded some radio ads (I have never met her - the person in charge of producing the ads for this woman's company hired me as a contractor).
Interestingly, the $100 I was paid for making those ads is exactly the amount of the suggested donation if both my husband and I attend the reception.
