PA Rasmussen Poll: O53/M46

A seven point lead in PA with Obama at 53% on 10/28. I'll take that every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Awesome number.

Obama wasn't going to win PA by 13 points anyway, and almost all of the movement appears to be McCain shoring up his side.

My bet is that he wanted a splash in the media so he pushed very hard to get some changes and that resulted in the McCain increase.

The respected Muhlenberg College tracking poll has Obama still up by 12 (he's led in this poll by double digits for weeks) and SUSA has Obama up by 12 in their most recent poll.

Obama's lead cut in half!!! Tightening!!! Horse race!!!

Not only does Obama come out of this with a seven point lead, Rasmussen runs out of undecideds to spin with. And note, Obama doesn't lose support, McCain's is up a good bit (at the cost of having nowhere to go in this poll).

Two things happened here. Either Rasmussen is absolutely spot on...in which case the election is all but over, or he tweaked his methods to drive McCain's %age as high as he possibly could (which also drove Obama's %age up)...in which case McCain has just a tiny, tiny bit of a chance.

Really. And this is not complacency, but almost every battleground state has magnetized our way since 2004. Pennsylvania is a Democratic state. It might be close and divided, but I really do not see McCain as having more than a 10 percent chance at it.
