I don't know, I just feel like I've been needing to get rid of these man boobs for a while now and I think next week is as good of a time as ever. I'm thinking of doing the Jared from Subway thing and eating a lot of Veggie Delites.

I challenge DU to join me in making some sort of resolution they'll honor if we have a President-elect Obama next week.

24. U mean we're not supposed to sniff that stuff? OY
Perhaps that's why I have a difficult time blowing my nose, since my nostrils seem to stick together. Damn.

lost around 20 and I've lost around 15 (lbs, that is). It feels great! :D

14. And you'll have much much less reason to be freaked out...
...which makes it a lot easier to quit. I wonder how many poor souls have been driven to drink in the past 8 years.

and 40 in three months.

I totally fasted for the first week, however.

I would love to start some kind of HMO that would offer people on this plan extremely affordable health care!

17. Well, I already quit smoking.
It was definitely time, but I was helped knowing Obama had quit for his campaign. Now I have to lose the comfort pounds I gained from my quit. Unfortunately it's only about 10 pounds, which is really hard to lose in girl-flesh. Hopefully a Democratic win will get me excited about cottage cheese. =/

21. Wow,,, I was thinking of posting something similar
I thought I need to get in shape for the new President elect so I can help the country away from the keyboard. He's going to need us to be healthy and fit. Blogging since 2003 has sort of left me weak and no muscle tone. On the other hand, if the unimaginable happens, then I'll need to be strong to kick some rethug ass. Count me in.

23. I will begin jogging again.
I used to a few years ago, and it's starting to get cold in my area again. Really nice running weather.

It'll probably be time to cut-back on the sweets and sodas, too. I have a slothful feast planned for Election Night, and I'm going to need to burn it off.. :P

26. I'm in
I lost 30 pounds two years ago so I wouldn't be the frumpy mother of the groom at my son's wedding. I think I lost too much as I was constantly being described as 'that skinny lady'. So, I decided to put a few pounds back...oops. Now I need to lose about 8-10 pounds and it's been tough.

There's some Halloween candy in the cupboard calling to me ....Mosssssssssssssssferrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnn it's Butterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfingerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrssssss....come and get meeeeeeeee.

29. I've been making those goals,too!
Here's my plan:
Decrease/to stop smoking and increase activity to replace smoking as much as possible
Eat healthier including nothing with corn syrup, less red meat, more organics, more beans, whole wheats/grains.
Yoga every morning; walking with hubby on nights off

Learn to cook from scratch and spend more time/energy making what I eat than eating it!

I don't know. Even though I know things won't be changed overnight, I'll just feel better having Dems in the White House. I'll have some measure of HOPE again.
