The total cost, including frames, lenses, and additional features like UV protection, scratch resistant coating, etc., was $300 for everything.


Fortunately, his medical insurance covered about 90% of it because the new glasses were required after he underwent eye surgery. So, the total cost to him was only $30. His insurance covered the other $270.

My last pair of glasses that I purchased 10 years ago cost just $100 for everything, frames and lenses. I didn't require designer anything. A second pair of prescription sunglasses cost me another $100 at the time.
