At 52, finally understanding what it is like to live in a Battleground state re TV ads!
I grew up in New England (lived in RI, MA, VT) - also lived in PA and WA, and really none of those drew much attention at election time. But...whoa...we've lived in NC for 16 years, and my wife and I are amazed at the constant barrage of political ads on TV due to the fight going on here! Some real bad-ass nasty ads flying from McCain, of course, but the worst are the Liddy Dole anti-Hagan ads...just horrendous, and non stop.

One thing we've found - we no longer have a land line, and we've had very, very few political calls on our two cell phones.

So all of those who've always or almost always lived in battleground states - I finally feel your pain!

1. What kind of counter attack is Obama putting up? What about pro-Dem 527s?

2. There are plenty of great anti-McCain and anti-Dole ads running.
In fact, the ads are running back to back...truth-lie-truth-lie...sometimes, truth-truth, or lie-lie.

makes your head spin (and run for the mute button!)

8. I've lived in VA for 22 yrs and this is a first for me. Constant Obama ads (yay!) but nasty mails
from McSame. They make you want to puke. Incessant calls on land line from both parties. You have to have an excuse to vote early here and I don't qualify plus I'm volunteering to drive folks to the polls next Tuesday so will vote then. I grew up in OH before it was a battleground so this is new to me. Was exciting at first, now just old.
