Relax guys, Obama's not just good, he's lucky too ...
look at his political career- he had the easiest road to the US Senate of any candidate in recent memory when his only serious opponents imploded. He got the top speaking gig at the Democratic Convention while he was still a state senator. He was an outstanding candidate in the Democratic primaries, but- let's be honest- he was helped by the caucus format which was used in many states. He was lucky enough to have the Rev. Wright stuff break long before the general election.

In the general election, his opponent picked an utter moron for a running mate, and the news cycle, with the bad economy, has greatly favored his message. It'd be hard to paint a better scenario for Obama than the one we have now. He has to win one of 7 battleground states- FL, OH, MO, VA, IN, NC or CO. He leads in all of them except maybe IN. Early voting has been very strong for him in most of those states. Even if he loses all of those states, he ties and sends it to the Democratic House if he wins Nevada.

I realize we've all got a touch of battered spouse syndrome, after what we've been through politically in this country. But the new husband really is Prince Charming, and he's both lucky and good.

6. "Born at the Right Time"
Down among the reeds and rushes
A baby boy was found
His eyes as clear as centuries
His silky hair was brown

Never been lonely
Never been lied to
Never had to scuffle in fear
Nothing denied to
Born at the instant
The church bells chime
And the whole world whispering
Born at the right time
