I'm SICK of this SHIT! 4th sign stolen last night!
Granted, I live in a very repug township just outside of Pittsburgh. But, I would NEVER go out and steal McSame signs. Christ, the repug county chair lives up the street from me. I slathered it with vaseline, hot salt, and paprika, so I hope whoever took it had many small cuts and hangnails, and is in severe pain from their escapade.

I think it's time to resurrect my large sign from '04 that I painted that says "You can steal my signs, but you can't steal my vote!". It was at least 4 x 6'. Dh is on his way to the Steeler game right now, but he says we have more wood and plastic I can use. So I won't be able to get it done today, but when I do, I'll post pics.

2. I've heard reports of McCain signs stolen and damaged. Thank McCain and Palin for
encouraging division and hatred in America. This is what they have brought upon this country, and I hope they are remembered in history as hatemongers and bigots.

3. Yes, I think a homemade sign would be perfect! Gets the point across beautifully..
I'd been suggesting "you can steal my sign, but not my vote", and "you can steal my sign, but not my hope" Actually, I think homemade signs say even more than the premade ones... and that will reduce the chance of it being stolen by souvenir seekers.

I noticed a large sign near my house.. it was actually a collection of 8 democratic candidate signs tacked up onto a big framework. ALl the signs were intact, but the Obama was missing. I have a feeling there are many Obama signs being taken because they're cool. A homemade sign will reduce that chance.. and make a MUCH bigger statement than the original one.

Be sure to take a pic of your new sign for us, if you do make one!

oh.. and sorry they took your sign. mean people suck! :(

4. it might be the repug county chair stealing your signs...
Have you considered rigging a camera? Video evidence could be pretty brutal to the rethugs.

7. My Neighbors Sign
My neighbor's first Obama sign was stolen - mutilated - and thrown in a field about a block away. I found it while I was jogging. She bought a second sign - and it disappeared three days later - I found that one about a block away laying on the sidewalk with a swastika scrawled over one side of the sign - I returned that one at the end of my run. Now I live in a very red part of a very red state (Idaho) but these republican values make me sick. These little brown shirt thugs think anything they do is ok. I say Fuck them!

I was so mad after finding the second sign - I jumped on line and gave another $50 to Obama. I am so tired of this fascist shit - Its time for a change!

9 Days to a New America - Yes. We. Can.

8. Put up a homemade sign next to your Obama sign.
Write on it, "Every time I buy a new sign that's more money for the Obama campaign".

13. Already done
with vaseline, hot salt (and believe me, this stuff ain't for the faint of heart) and paprika, and the fuckers stole the sign anyway. As I said in the OP, I hope the perp(s) are in severe pain for their little escapade.
