2. Interesting tone at the end of Klein's conversation. Made it sound like Obama WOULD BE president
and this sort of meme is important. Harder for rethugs to steal when most Americans are now accepting and looking forward to the fact that Obama is going to be president.

3. Yes, and Joe Klein has been known to slam any politician if he
thought he was wrong or a bit nuts.

4. "It struck me that such a young man is going to bring to the White House a quality we haven't seen
in recent Presidents, and that quality is maturity."

5. This is a wonderful audio and Klein tells it so beautifully. Something
I've noticed about Obama, stupid I know, but he has what my mother would call "piano hands"...Long, slim and the perfect hands for octave stretches, etc. Anyone else notice this? Also, do we know if Barack Obama sings? I mean, this guy is so awesomely talented, why would he not be a singer and player of piano.

Maybe this would be a good question for Michelle, bet she'd give some cool answers...LOL.

13. Obama is incredibly mature. Even-keeled, thoughtful, won't go off half-cocked...
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 08:28 PM by Triana
..like Mr. "Maverick" (NO thanks) or bu$hit.

I was thinking about this just this past week - about the way Republicans and McCain operate on what is essentially a first-grade playground bully mentality - and Obama is the one acting like an ADULT and who wants to run the country like an ADULT instead of like an insecure playground bully.

I put up with abuse by playground bullies in school. I recognize them. In Republicans and their campaigns.

Barack Obama is an ADULT. He acts like one, thinks like one. And he'll run the country like one.

THAT is the change we NEED.

EDIT:

And the article ends with:

"But he has not been childishly egomaniacal, in contrast to our recent baby-boomer Presidents — or petulant, in contrast to his opponent. He does not seem needy. He seems a grown-up, in a nation that badly needs some adult supervision."

Yep. THAT's what I'm talkin about.
