4. She got elected for several reasons.
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 03:33 PM by vaberella
When I had checked up on some history on her a month ago. She didn't have any real competition in the District. Either the person who's seat she was vying for was retiring or was easy to take the place of because she had no real competition and she had a great deal of money in a predominantly republican neighborhood. As a repub and living in a high repub area she was a shoe in. So she had many things on her side.

On a final note. Her statements are PURE racism, however, remember how many Republicans feel about the US. There is the "real" versus the "anti" America. Most of these Repubs don't see Blacks or Hispanics as American. Shoot, they even have groups for White immigrants. You're either one of them or you're not one of them. And even if you're Black and came from the US you inherently have a different culture or are entirely different. So she fits in perfectly.

This is why she got away with her comment about Blacks causing the economic crisis without so much as a "wh-". It's normal and basically accepted. I was appalled that more demoracts weren't disgusted by her when she said such a thing and KO had brought that to national attention (a month ago). Instead, they got into an uproar when she demanded an expose done on Liberals and Dems in office.

IN the end, I'm just glad they're aware now and we're working to get rid of her. Now all we have left is Roy Blunt and his racist remarks against Jews and Kissell.
