After he wins, can we call him Barack Hussein Obama?
I know this is an election and his middle name is being used as a bad word. But maybe after the election, we can sometimes use his middle name. Maybe not even care when someone mentions it in a negative manner, since he will be our President. Perhaps even chant "Barack Hussein Obama" at his acceptance in Chicago. I like his name, and we should be able to show the world that someone with a Muslim name (or God forbid, a Muslim person) could be President like anyone else.

Hussein is an Arabic name which is the diminutive of Hasan, meaning "good" or "handsome" or "beautiful".

I'd say Hussein accurately describes Mr. Obama: good, handsome, and beautiful.

President Barack Hussein Obama II

1. Well, in newspapers and on television, he'll be President Obama.
Like President Bush, President Clinton, etc.

But...at 12:00PM on 01/20/09, we'll hear Chief Justice Roberts refer to him as Barack Hussein Obama...when administering the oath of office. :-)

2. I always refer to him with his middle name
when I'm arguing with my wingnut family.
We all know that Hussein doesn't mean shit about who the man is.
So I refuse to be caged by it or afraid of it. I will say it, loudly with confidence. It takes the power out of it for wingnutters, IMHO.

3. Honestly, we have to think about re-election in 2012. Best to keep the middle name to a minimum.
