Underperforming Nepotists of the World Unite !!!!!!!!
In this must read thread Amerigo Vespucci gives us the barely coherent thoughts on Stephen Baldwin

This makes sense.

No one would know this half baked actor if it weren't for his family.

No one would know this half baked ensign if it weren't for his father and grandfather

From Wikipedia's heavily scrubbed account

McCain came into conflict with higher-ranking personnel, he did not always obey the rules, and that contributed to a low class rank (894 of 899)

Naval training, first marriage, and Vietnam assignment
McCain's pre-combat duty began when he was commissioned an ensign, and started two and a half years of training at Pensacola as a naval aviator.<14> While there, he earned a reputation as a partying man.<7> He completed flight school in 1960, and became a naval pilot of ground-attack aircraft, assigned to A-1 Skyraider squadrons<15> aboard the aircraft carriers USS Intrepid and USS Enterprise<16> in the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas.<17> McCain began as a sub-par flier<17> who was at times careless and reckless;<18> during the early-to-mid 1960s, the planes he was flying crashed twice and once collided with power lines, but he received no major injuries

During this period in Florida, McCain had extramarital affairs, and the McCains' marriage began to falter, for which he later would accept blame.<64><65>

This is a demographic that McCain is sure to dominate

Who are other Underperforming Nepotists that the McCain campaign should recruit?

2. well that may be premature --

I lost my father at the same age and it took me years to become truely 'underperforming'.

Frankly I hope he succeeds.

3. Well if you have his best interests at heart

You would hope he succeeds on the same terms that other young men and women have to meet.
If he wanted to be on a soap, or whatever, that would be one thing, the NBC thing. But asking an audience to give ear to the observations of some lumbering child because his talented father passed away is insulting. He's in prime time, giving his opinion. He's not out in the field doing 'cub reporter' work. He's not at some small market affiliate cutting his teeth like any self respecting beneficiary of nepotisim would be, no, he's wanting a job few seasoned pros can handle and he wants it now!

And to back off a bit, let me say that the one who will be harmed in the longer run by this absurd crowning of the New Tim will be Luke himself. He should be in a small market, learning his way and earning his place, for his own good more than anything. Frankly, it seems to me that no one in his life is thinking of the kid. This is like buying him a fast car and some smack. I have to wonder if Tim would have wanted him to start in shoes he was not yet fit to fill? I really doubt it.
I hope he succeeds too. His current path will not lead to that success.

6. Your right that overexposure too early will probably ruin him

Since the convention I haven't seen him much though and maybe the 'wise elders' of NBC have the same thoughts.

5. What a skeevy looking character he is.
Those piggy little eyes and that "you want some candy, little girl?" half-smirk. Yech.
