We're now almost a week out. Less the weekends (today/tomorrow, Nov 1/Nov 2) which tend to be slow news cycles, less election day we are essentially down to 6 days that can really affect the news cycle.

1. WAYYYYYY to obvious, especially to the cops, to be a surprise.

Way to unstable, etc. Poor girl, her 15 minutes of fame has basically screwed her for life. :(

The October Surprise will be very, very nasty, very, very late (I'm thinking Halloween night) and very, very unprovable.

An Oct surprise on Halloween?

I almost ruled a half day out of the cycle simply because it was halloween and photos and video of halloween parades would rule out nonstop coverage of whatever said surprise was.

The McFailedStunt campaign on thursday was out promoting the racial and political angle of the hoax to local Pittsburg Media. Local news outlets learned about this nonsense from the McCain Campaign, not the police. How did the McCain campaign find out about it? Did ddoT call them? Did she call Drudge? Inquiring minds want to know.
