Palin gives a wink and a nod to right-wing extremists, with whom she shares radical views about the reproductive rights of women.

The buffoonish nature of Sarah Palin's vice presidential candidacy has mostly been a disaster for the McCain-Palin campaign, but it is has delivered at least one benefit: her foibles have helped obscure the true nature of her right-wing extremism.

But now, Sarah Palin's self-destructive behavior is threatening to expose even that. In an interview broadcast yesterday on NBC Nightly News, Brian Williams asked Palin whether she felt abortion clinic bombers were terrorists.

Amazingly, she said that she didn't know. MSNBC reports (emphasis added):

1. If I remember right, she has a very limited definition of terrorists
This was talked about on television a few nights back. I believe someone commented that, by Palin's definition, Timothy McVeigh was not a terrorist.

10. our entire society applies this double standard
Think about how we dont talk about the use of weapons grade biological weapons against americans in the 2 months after 9/11.

Even more disturbing... let's look at just a sample of the violence and attempted violence since 9/11... which barely get media attention, if any at all...

# December 12, 2005: Patricia Hughes and Jeremy Dunahoe threw a Molotov cocktail at a clinic in Shreveport, Louisiana.

# In Sept 2006, "christian" suicide bomber in Iowa. David McMenemy filled his car with gas and drove into a health clinic.

# In April 2007, a man placed a bomb containing thousands of nails outside an abortion clinic in austin, texas.

# May 9, 2007: An unidentified person deliberately set fire to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

# December 6, 2007: Two unidentified persons set fire to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Man Gets 40 Years After Planting Bomb At Women's Clinic
Updated: Oct 19, 2007 05:05 PM CDT

A judge on Friday sentenced a man to 40 years in prison after he admitted to planting a bomb outside an Austin clinic that performs abortions.

Police arrested Paul Ross Evans, 27, in April (2007) after they found a makeshift bomb in the parking lot of the Austin Women's Clinic.

The nail-filled bomb never went off, and no one was hurt in the incident, but the SWAT team was called out to dispose of it.

Evans pleaded guilty to attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. Evans faced a maximum sentence of life in prison.
