Just heard some Stevie after a rally C-SPAN just showed and it got me to thinking. Outside of Ted Nugent and some brain-dead jingoistic country crap, what musician supports this washed-up campaign?

Who owns the rights to Stevie Ray Vaughn's music? His brother Jimmie supports Ron Paul.

1. I imagine McCaint was palling around with Salieri.
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 05:36 AM by Prag
Maybe he had some tunes they could use.

"Salieri was incensed that God would bless so vulgar and obnoxious a young snipe as Mozart with divine genius. Why was Salieri--so disciplined, so devoted to his art, and so willing to toady to his superiors--not touched by God? Unable to match Mozart's talent, Salieri uses his influence in court to sabotage the young upstart's career."

5. Unfair...to Salieri!
Amadeus, while an entertaining play and film, was an exercise in "historical fiction" worthy of neo-con foreign policy as enunciated by Fox News.

In real life, Salieri was a contemporary of Mozart (and teacher of, among others, Beethoven and Schubert). They had a feud for several years over the fact that they had been using the same librettist -- da Ponte -- for their operas, and each of them suspected the other was getting more and better work from him, but they reconciled after jointly walking out of the local archbishop's employ (sort of an 18th-century "labor action") and Salieri became a major supporter of Mozart and promoter of his works for the rest of the latter's life.

6. Thanks for straightening me out on that...
So... Uh... With Salieri out, Who remains?

I bet they're regretting the War-on-the-arts about now.

You know, like Jesus. If they were alive, Jesus included, none of them would endorse or support the Republican party.

3. something lifeless and completely out-of-touch
would be a theme-song worthy of his campaign. Rob Zombie or Marilyn Manson would be a great help, they would define McSame quite well , and it might blend in well as his campaign enters the Halloween season. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if Rob or Marylin would go for this. OTOH a properly-conducted seance should help to get McSame some famous recommendations he desperately needs.
