It was a much different scene last night for the NHL Game, 8:30PM, St. Louis Blues (home) vs. LA Kings. The crowd was mild and the camera shot for the dropping of the puck did NOT show any fans in the background. There was just one thin black carpet leading out to the center ice. Palin sort of "spiked" the puck, IMO, throwing it down vice "dropping" it.

However, all in all, the scene was uneventful. She wore a black trench coat, Piper and Willow were in St. Louis Blues Jerseys, and Todd? Oh I forget what Todd was wearing.

The St. Louis Blues went on to lose to the LA Kings 4-0. I'm not superstitious although I do believe in "good vs. evil" forces within this great Universe ... go figure?

FWIW here's a site for the Game's recap: http://www.nhl.com/ice/recap.htm?id=2008020104

1. willow?
Could a parent be so depraved, they would name their child after the movie-character diminutive Willow?

3. I don't mind the name and hope upon hope that Willow attends college before she
decides to become a mother. Poor pregnant Bristol - although she at least has the financial means to attend college later if she chooses to.

4. How can Piper attend college when she's not even attending elementary school?

Her mom is, dare I say, "pimping her out on the campaign trail."

shameful

edit:

I meant to say Piper.

I was thinking about Piper, but shouldn't they both be in school?

I edited my previous post.

12. Perhaps they have hired tutors? However, to date, they haven't charged the RNC for anything ...
of an educational nature.

9. Good question. I'd like to know how involved Palin was with Trac's hockey playing efforts before
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 06:11 AM by ShortnFiery
he was shipped off to Iraq?

Real hockey moms go virtually unnoticed because they sacrifice ON BEHALF of their children rather than using them for cheap political props. :(

7. The last team she dropped a puck on is on a losing streak. And St. Louis lost, too.
Anyone else believe in divine intervention?

10. They didn't just lose the game. They lost their goalie when he tripped on the carpet for Palin...

I'm not sure it's just Palin, either. Everything associated with McCain in the GE has been bad luck. They pray for rain at the Democratic Convention and a hurricane hits during the Republican Convention.

He wants to go to an oil rig and there's a another hurricane, topped off by an oil spill. He says "The fundamentals of the economy are strong" and moments later the market collapses.

Several times their campaign events have been preempted by breaking news about more market tanking.

The Republicans should stop talking about how God may yet find a way for them to win. By the way things keep working out, it seems more likely that God has some Intrade shares on Obama.

17. One would think they would get God's message, no?
After all they keep telling us that God talks to them...

Hey! If God sent them a sky-turning-dark hurricane which biblically portends God's displeasure in the biggest way during their convention and he smites them with instant backlash in all their actions they ought to get it. They're the ones who know all about God's will.

8. I think that McInsane supporters are so hungry to see a real family
on the Repuplicon ticket that they have mistaken the Palins for one.

Cindy and John always seem so cold and distant from each other. They are the typical elite, uber wealthy, cold snobs. While Obama and Biden, hug their wives and enthusiastically cheer each other on. You can see the love and respect in the Obama and Biden families. There is no such enthusiastic support and love in the McCain family, so supporters need to get their fix from the Palins.

Unfortunately, the Palins aren't quite the honest Joes and normal family found in most of America. A mom who thinks there is no such thing as evolution, climate change caused by human activity, or control of reproduction, and appears to despise all things scientific, sure isn't the Mom who will promote education and ensure their children are well versed in reality let alone science and math. A father who belongs to the Alaskan Secessionist movement and ignores his teenaged daughter's escapades is just not your typical All American family.

But the Republicons can to pretend that the Palins are like everyone else, at least for awhile.
