7. Memories of college
When I was in college, one of my apartment mates supported Reagan and the other supported Carter. Both were registered to vote at their homes, which were each 1.5 hours away. They made a deal that neither would vote, because otherwise they would just cancel each other out. That would avoid 6 hours of driving. However, as the day wore on, they started getting suspicious of each other and kept checking to make sure the other guy's car was still in the parking lot.

There's a man who not only drove 600 miles, but put on his 'go to meeting' clothes so he could stand in that booth by himself and cast that vote.
