1. Way over the border if you ask me!
That was an amazing statement, wasn't it?

7. Though his condition seems obvious to me too, it sure was an amazing statement...
I'm glad he said it ~ somebody had to!

21. He CLEARLY has been in senile dementia ...
for the entire general election cycle, as I can see - witness his babbling in Sturgis months ago.

either the media is, amazingly, SO oblivious that they can't see it, or they don't have the balls to call it for what it is.

sad that it takes an alcoholic dude from another country to say it in the light of day.

23. I've wondered what keeps reporters from talking about it...
...they have children and lives to protect too ~ it's not possible that ALL of them have missed it!

31. Hitchens became a U.S. citizen in April of last year;
no information on whether he is drinking as much.

I am surprised that McCain's dementia isn't the number one topic everywhere - yeah, it surprised me that Hitchens so casually outed with what is really the obvious. I am used to the media gag on commenting on McCain's mental demise - every day, he appears worse than the last.

3. I turned it off after a minute since I don't like him.
But I laughed when he said that Mccain called the nut from PA on the phone before having anyone check her out.

6. I know support for Obama is welcome, but....
....Christopher Hitchens I could do without. Yep, he's done some work I've admired (eg his expose on Mother Teresa's orphanages), but basically he's a nasty, vile creature.

9. sssssss
He didn't like McCain's increased sss in his speech since January

Hitchens was better when he's drinking, he sounded sober.
He will always be a bastard but I don't mind listening to him, since
he uses complete sentences and doesn't shout.

19. It is in the diagnosis as a sign of questionable dementia with the increase using of the
Sss in the speech patterns that wasn't prevalent before

16. His support for the Chimp's oil war lost any respect for him on my part
Bush has destroyed this country and his aiders and abettors will need to rehabilitate themselves for years before I can give them praise.

25. Let's see, beyond the S's...
When McCain said "My fellow prisoners" and just kept trucking, not even noticing;
When McCain said "I couldn't agree with them more" when he meant "disagree", and then said the exact same thing when trying to correct himself, and on a third attempt came out sounding like a mumbling, stumbling lost child;

These aren't gaffes. They're well beyond gaffes. The above are symptoms of a mind not working at 100% - maybe not even working at 75%. Talking so fast that you slur your speech and "rate cuts" comes out as "rate cunts" - twice! - is a gaffe.
