It's getting thick here - Mc/P signs showing up, Obama signs disappearing,
co-workers suddenly getting very vocally anti-Obama.

*sigh*

So to brighten my mood, I kicked in another few bucks to the campaign. :D

24. Not by much.
I don't think I'd be far wrong if I said that Idaho was the 2nd reddest state in the Union.

25. I believe you're right.

I lived in Utah during the '04 election. The post-election map that year showed that Utah was the reddest state and Idaho came right after us. I'm so glad to be living in WA, even if it's the more conservative part of the state.

You've probably heard of Toad Hall, the Democratic hot spot in Spokane, WA. Normally the big Dem parties are held there. On Nov 4th, the blowout is going to be at the Red Lion Inn, in downtown Spokane. If you live within 90 miles of Spokane, come on over. No use moping over there in the red zone. I hear it's going to be another great party.

10. I feel bad for you and anyone else who lives in a red state
But we'll win the election for you. We WILL win this.

2. Where are you?
People could be getting scared as the election gets closer and as such, they are getting louder.

7. It's very red here.
People are definitely getting louder; the political scene had been unusually quiet here this election cycle up until a few days ago.

16. I've heard so many ugly stories lately
and I figure it is the fear factor. After November 4th, they'll go back in their holes. They just need to make some noise and get some attention. I have to say I'm shocked at how blatantly racist many of them have been. I thought we'd evolved beyond that kind of rhetoric.

5. Their all getting their panties in a wad
because deep down they know Obama is going to win and they're ascared.......fear, ignorance, hate, racism....etc. I blame McKKKain and Failin for some of this because of their campaign appearances spewing lies and inuendos.

12. One of the guys at work who was talking
is someone that usually I get along really well with. Politics has NEVER come up at work before, and I play it very close to the vest while I'm there.

He started repeating some of the right-wing talking points (Obama is naive, dangerous, inexperienced, nobody knows him, keeps talking about change but won't say how he's going to change anything). He was talking to someone else, but the conversation was very loud. After a few minutes, I said, "If you want to know what Barack Obama thinks, go to www.barackobama.com and read his plans. It's all there. He's laid out a Blueprint For Change, so you can stop saying that he 'won't tell people what his plan is.'"

His answer? "I don't want to get a virus."

17. There are a lot of non-Mormons here, and it isn't the Mormons I've heard talking.
Frankly, I think the LDS population is still disappointed that Romney wasn't chosen.

21. Since the polls opened in Florida, all of a sudden lots & lots of McCain
bumper stickers. Saw a few Obama, but so far outnumbered about 4-1. In the NE part of Florida, red county.

27. Same here
My Obama lawn sign was stolen a couple of weekends ago, and almost immediately a McCain sign appeared in the lawn across the street. The guy smirks and chuckles whenever he sees me. I have no doubt he stole mine while he was putting up his.

So, I got some party favors for election night. Hopefully Obama will be called early (don't want to disturb my many *good* neighbors) and when he is these are going to be directed right at his house, with appropriate whooping and cheering. Can't wait.
