IBD/TIPP Tracking Poll: Day Twelve

Posted: Friday, October 24, 2008 4:30 PM PT

After two days of slippage that had pulled his lead down to 1.1 points, Obama reversed to a 3.5-point advantage headed into the weekend. He rebounded 3 points with women and moderates, 4 points in the West and among the working class, and 5 points with Catholics and the $30,000 to $50,000 income group. McCain lost 2 points with independents, but for the first time leads with parents.

5. Freepers had the numbers initialy reversed and were popping champagne
now they are bashing the poll they loved only yesterday when corrected. Still has McC with the 18-24 vote which is beyond suspect.

7. Obama had a great polling night yesterday
R2K has him at +14 yesterday, Gallup yesterday reported a +7 lead in each of their last 3 samples , so Obama must have had at least a +10 last night.Hotline had him gaining as well.

This particular poll has some pretty funky internals but even they show a movement toward Obama yesterday.
