She clearly planned this as evidenced by her blog, her continuing on with her false story and the image SHE put out. She even tried to add a sex attack to her story once she realized she had a wider audience.

As for her having some sort of personality disorder...that was one of the first things i said when i heard about all of this. While the party overall hadn't fallen entirely off the right side of the map when I was a CR, there was a lot of wink wink nudge nudge around dirty tricks. Atwater was in charge at the time, after all.

Watergate was fresh in everyone's mind as to what happens when you get caught. So rule #1 was don't get caught, and rule #2 was don't do anything that could get tied to the party if you did get caught. We tried to be very clever and very creative about what we did.
