Just so you know this woman was from Texas via New York and NOT Pennsylvania
Edited on Fri Oct-24-08 01:48 PM by LynneSin
I don't want my home state (and Biden's) soiled with the reputation that someone would be so cruel and horrifying to fake a story like that.

As for those of you from Texas, well you do have your share of lunatics but I know there are alot of great people there too!

Edit to mention that she was born in New York.

My apologies to Texas women - perhaps it's the college republicans that breed that kind of lunancy.

Unlike Drudge I'll correct my mistakes

11. Well I'm having at least one party at a local watering hole in DC for the inauguration
but for inauguration day I was hoping we could all stand together along the parade route and hold up a sign or something - similiar to what was done when DU first started 8 years ago. For all I care bring the midlets along - this is a historic moment!

I lived off campus the whole time, south of campus my first two years and then Bryan for one really bad year, and then back to south of campus for my last two years (five total!)

My daughter is in high school and wants to go to A&M, so it's sort of cool to think she might walk the same paths all over campus that I did, only 25 years later. Too cool.

The Eagle's actually a really good paper--and some of the same people I worked with a million years ago are still there (Larry Bowen, Robert Borden, Dave McDermand, etc.).

And I SWEAR the place wasn't as nutso conservative in the late 80s/early 90s as it is now. It's like they've gone full-on nazi.

I know that honor code. I got a degree from A&M.

And you know, when I was there, the student honor board enforced that freaking code with less tolerance than might be expected for one student from other students.

If Aggieland is anything like what it was, that woman is gonna have a tough time going back to that campus.

And I agree, they are fierce about that shit. You could get kicked out for cheating on a test. For lying to the police and the nation and trying to incite racial violence, ummmm, yeah, you would be withdrawn before you could get back to Texas. They don't want that kind of shit there.

The honor code and more importantly the fact that they actually upheld it was one of the things I respected about the place.

(Class of 92, by the way.)
