Too Little, Too Late: McCain lambasts Bush years
Edited on Fri Oct-24-08 12:07 PM by WI_DEM
He should have started doing this in the spring when he had the field all to himself, now it just looks like desperation:

Sen. John McCain on Wednesday blasted President Bush for building a mountain of debt for future generations, failing to pay for expanding Medicare and abusing executive powers, leveling his strongest criticism to date of an administration whose unpopularity may be dragging the Republican Party to the brink of a massive electoral defeat.

"We just let things get completely out of hand," he said of his own party's rule in the past eight years.

Yet you proudly proclaimed that you voted with him 90% of the time.

1. So why should I return you or any of your sycophantic cohorts to elective office?
You all not only supported bush* for the last eight years, you demonized and ridiculed those of us who were trying to stop your abuse. You turned the national discussion into a national slimefest and now you want back in because you've learned your lesson?

2. Listening to McCain list the things Bush has done wrong
last night on MSNBC -- it sounded expressionless and flat, like he was reading a list of bullet points. Really strange.

3. He proudly voted with Bush 90% of the time
McCain is basically saying that he has not shown the judgment to be a good president.

4. The GOP is not happy with McCain's attacks against Bush...in spite of
everything, the GOP still loves Bush and if McCain continues to attack the President GOP the base will be demoralized and will not show up. That is why Rove (under the MSM radar) attacked McCain yesterday.
