...while we're endlessly worried about surprises (with very good reasons to feel paranoid, after the debacles of 2000 and 2004)...
...while we're out working hard, and trying not to be complacent...
...while a big part of us just wants these last 11 days to be past, so that we can have a victory...
(and all of those are reasonable thoughts)
Don't forget to enjoy these days!
We're winning, and we're winning in an admirable fashion.
The Republicans are losing, and doing so while running an increasingly-disgraceful campaign. They're also losing in larg part because, incredibly long though it has taken, the general public is now seeing the Bush years as eight years of abject failure.
Rejoice in the positive polls, rejoice in the enthusiasm for our positive campaign, rejoice in the floundering of their campaign, rejoice in the rats deserting their sinking ship, rejoice in the comical desperation of their apologists.
With apologies to Gandhi and to others who can rise above it, when you've been treated as poorly as we have by an unscrupulous opposition, let's face it, a little schadenfreude is a very satisfying thing.
(P.S. In the increasingly-unlikely event that this election IS stolen from us, feel free to repost this with irony and ridicule.)
