My Nightmare - Voting!
I live in South Carolina where there is no early voting time period, just a limited absentee voting procedure, which I didn't sign up for in time.

I actually had a nightmare last night, very detailed...

It was November 4th. I got in line to vote early, but within seconds, it seemed that 9:30 had arrived, and I had a very important meeting I had to go to.

I left to go to my meeting, planning to come back and get in line. The meeting ran long, so I tried to make it back, but the line was too long and I had another meeting to go to.

I came back for a meeting and it ran over.

Suddenly it's 7:30 in the rain and I'm standing in line... They closed the polling place before my very eyes. The windows of the polling place went dark and I was miserable.

I actually woke up with my heart racing from the dream.

This morning I cleared my Outlook calendar for November 4th and booked my time so I can't be called into meetings. :D

1. Remember if you are in line before the closing time, they have to let you vote.
Don't leave the line.

Good job on clearing your schedule. I put a few cases of water in my Jeep for election day to hand out if the lines get too long.

2. My subconscious is not very smart...
I knew that about them having to let you in, but clearly my subconscious didn't realize it. ;)

The water in the Jeep is a good idea. Now that my schedule is cleared, I am also going to see about perhaps driving people to the polls in the morning or the afternoon, or being a poll watcher/greeter in the morning or afternoon. I can't take the whole day off but I think I can swing part of it.

3. Your subconscious must be pretty smart if it is helping you plan for election day.

I also plan on taking some old lawn chairs along also for any seniors in the long lines.
