HOLY FUCK .. Kathleen Parker thinks McCain picked Winky because of her Looks
Edited on Fri Oct-24-08 10:00 AM by TheCoxwain
Snippet:

My husband called it first. Then, a brilliant 75-year-old scholar and raconteur confessed to me over wine: "I'm sexually attracted to her. I don't care that she knows nothing."

2. My husband said that too.
I wouldn't believe it, but I yield to him in all things about male attraction...

26. I am a hetero male (58 yo) and I find her unattractive
but that is just the skin deep part - the inner part is totally repulsive.

27. I have said that since moment one ...
I am guy, and I get that hit she gives off.

She is attractive, and as others noted, vain and has enough to coif her self to the max, but beyond that, she is a woman who throws out the vibe - note the never ending litany of right wing men who can't control their mouths near admit they masterbate over her.

I have NO reservation that given McCain's past, given his wife is a living manacin (sp), given that there is NO, exactly NO strategic reason to have picked her (and I don't want to hear the nonsense about the "base" loving her, they would have loved Joe the Plumber, Moe the Bartender or Phil the Pedephile).

I have said since he picked her, he did it cause he was even too petulent to bring on the "compromise" pick in Pawlenty (when he wanted Jomentum and the Bushies wanted Romney), and he had a viagra moment and picked Palin.

for sex appeal.

5. McCain the mortal and the sycamore tree
"McCain the mortal couldn't mind having an attractive woman all but singing arias to his greatness. Cameras frequently capture McCain beaming like a gold-starred schoolboy while Palin tells crowds that he is "exactly the kind of man I want as commander in chief." This, notes Draper, "seemed to confer not only valor but virility on a 72-year-old politician who only weeks ago barely registered with the party faithful."

7. McCain is the rightful heir to the presidency? What was all about? Ending of article:
"If McCain, rightful heir to the presidency, loses to Obama, history undoubtedly will note that he was defeated at least in part by his own besotted impulse to discount the future. If he wins, he must be credited with having correctly calculated nature's power to befuddle. "

In America, we have rightful heirs to the presidency?

8. Kathleen Parker writes fairly well. It's hard for me, as a woman, to grasp the concept
of choosing someone so wrong for such a trivial thing as sex appeal.

9. When Colbert showed her closeup last night I almost vomited
She's not attractive at all, especially relative to Tina Fey's impersonation.

Tina Fey is hot, Sarah Palin is not.

10. I was surprised
I have heard a lot of people say the same things during the canvassing, that McCain clearly picked her for the eye candy, but I never thought I'd read it in the paper.

Parker always ends her columns with a nod to the other side - when she was pro-Palin she'd end with a slight concession that Palin needed to act a little less "folksy", and now she claims that McCain is still the rightful heir (?!) to the presidency - but the message is pretty clear. If Parker is saying it, how many other Republicans are thinking it?

11. Men like McCain would date a suspected serial killer if she looked hot enough.
Edited on Fri Oct-24-08 10:14 AM by Crowman1979
There mentality is like: I don't care if she tries to poison my coffee! She's hot and I can't wait to bang her!

Hence why we have so many divorces in this country.

Oh and you women do the same thing. Don't deny there are women who write letters to death row inmates.

15. it is an equal opportunity gender thing. lacks character, not gender specific. the thing
is just how foolish these old men look as they "think" really think they are looking so cool and young. everyone else laughs at them for their foolishness.

14. Excellent.
Good snip:

It is entirely possible that no one could have beaten the political force known as Barack Obama -- under any circumstances. And though it isn't over yet, it seems clear that McCain made a tragic, if familiar, error under that sycamore tree. Will he join the pantheon of men who, intoxicated by a woman's power, made the wrong call?

Had Antony not fallen for Cleopatra, Octavian might not have captured the Roman Empire. Had Bill resisted Monica, Al Gore may have become president, and Hillary might be today's Democratic nominee.

18. That's nice...but it proves he's INCOMPETENT...
to hold the office of President...He knows the condition of his health, yet he thinks so little of HIS country, that he'd still go ahead and accept the risk of putting total control into the hands of an empty headed bimbo, in the hopes that her sex alone would bring him a win....That's what I call a true patriot...At 72, you'd wonder if shouldn't be thinking with the other head....you know, the one that's supposed to have a brain in it....

However, all the pictures I've seen of his wife, don't show me she's first Lady material either with that constant vacuous look on her face and in her eyes....apparently empty headed bimbos are all he cares to know...they must be easier to control....The question is....what does that tell us about HIM??? Tells me he doesn't belong in the White House...wb
