OK, so I show you the guy who posed for me as I filed out. I almost said "also" but I'm eliminating that word in my vocabulary until Gov. Palin is back home for good.

The crowd was phenomenal, the spirits were high, not a single person yelled : Kill Him and nobody booed.
We were a large, happy, homogeneous, uncomplicated, great looking, hatred despising acres of people.

Joe Biden was on stump speech. He was great. He was careful.

After the rally, I was lucky enough to have garnered tickets to a performance of the
capitolsteps
comedy routine on tour.

I got to see Joe Biden in person, be in great company, and see a show about politics so topical it included things that happened yesterday. Yeah !

I am a happy girl as I go to sleep, and I hope this won't sink like a rock just because I'm posting it late.

Heaven knows what may lie in wait tomorrow in these interesting times.

8. Thank you ! I was impressed with the extreme professionalism
of how this all went down.
The security was huge ( I have seen it before, and now can recognize the professionals scanning the crowds, because I was at a meeting with Elizabeth Edwards once) and the attention to detail about every little thing was astounding.
I saw bomb sniffing dogs.
I remembered, and shared with a few people, the following little bit of trivia I learned a couple of days ago:

Sen. Obama has as much security assigned to him as only one other politician ever:
Guess who...
scrolldown...

George Bush.
Why might all of that be?

Anyway, back to acting my age.
It was an awesome event. It was perfectly staged, and it was perfectly executed.

9. Would you believe me ( I hope you would)
that I am European by birth and American by choice and that I left Germany from a visit 3 weeks ago with them saying:
"Get home, and help get Obama elected.
Of course you would believe me.
this is so global

12. Not only do I believe you - but I get it every day here!!
I've been over here for almost the entire bush presidency and it's been hard - I spend a lot of time saying I voted for Gore, I voted for Kerry. I put up Obama signs this year so people know I'm doing my best to help the planet!! Hope you had a nice visit - I love this country but can't wait to move back home under President Obama!!

13. Your pics are a lot better than any I got
I did notice a couple folks with McCain buttons.

I think they realized that starting any trouble would be pointless.
