Why have we seen so little of Al Gore on the campaign trail?
Thoughts? Gore is still popular. Except for his endorsement of Obama in Michigan, Al has yet to actively hit the campaign trail.

I wonder why that is.

3. I imagine he'll probably be responsible for crafting the response to the Climate Change issue.
But I think he has withdrawn from politics more or less, except in certain key points.

5. He spoke in Denver and he held a fundraiser for Obama
After the debate in TN.

Maybe Obama didn't ask him to do more. But even if Gore decided he wanted to stay on the sidelines, he's earned that right.

7. He's been lecturing - Email I got today -
Dear xxx,

Next Wednesday, Vice President Gore is headlining the Power Vote live webcast to college campuses, and as a "We" member, we'd like to invite you to tune in. To RSVP, just go to:

http://www.wecansolveit.org/PowerVoteRSVP/

He'll be talking to young leaders across the nation about the "Repower America" challenge he issued last summer. About how energy and climate are at the core of the economic and security issues we face. And about why elections matter.

Here are the details:

Power Vote webcast to college campuses across the nation
Wednesday, October 29th, 2008
5pm Pacific / 6pm Mountain / 7pm Central / 8pm Eastern
After the webcast, Power Vote will be kicking off six days of Get-Out-The-Vote campaigning on key campuses across the country, urging young people to make clean energy and climate a top priority in their vote this election. Youth turnout is going to be a crucial factor in this election, and the young leaders on these campuses are going to be the ones who usher in the new clean energy economy that Vice President Gore is calling for.

Our good friends at the Energy Action Coalition are co-sponsoring this webcast with us, and driving the Power Vote campaign on campuses. The passion of these young leaders, in dozens of small organizations across the nation, is a true inspiration.

I hope you will join us next week to hear more from them, and from Vice President Gore.

And this:

Al Gore delivers environmental message at Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Al Gore returned to his alma mater to help Harvard University launch its new greenhouse gas reduction effort.

The former vice president and 1969 Harvard graduate, told a campus audience on Wednesday that it's time to find ways to make better use of knowledge to save the global environment.

8. He is a symbol of total blind hatred....
among the great unwashed dark side out there....no sense poking that monster with a stick until they are rendered utterly useless by the upcoming landslide victory for the forces of the light.

CHange, HOpe, OBama......!

10. I've experienced that first hand, and it totally amazes me.
I have inlaws that have NOTHING good to say about Al Gore. It's difficult not to tell them to shove it up their ass.

But I feel that an Obama victory will be a huge liberal suppository for them, so I'm hoping.
