8. Me, too

I've been thinking about voting absentee because I'll be volunteering on election day, but I really like going to the polls. I'll just have to get there right at 7 so I can get out of there quickly. I live in Huntington Woods, which is pretty small, so the wait shouldn't be too bad. We always have a big vote turnout, so it shouldn't really be any worse than any other presidential year.

9. With so many of us out of work,
people have more time to wait in long lines. I live in Lapeer. Rural Republican county.

14. Rachel said 98% of those eligible to vote are registered. not 98% of the entire population

20. Good going Michigan!!!
Here in California, as of Sep 5, 2008, the SoS reported that 70% of eligible voters are registered.

I think it will be around 75% now, since the deadline passed a few days ago.

23. Amazing numbers
I guess it's finally having a candidate that ignites the party and whether some would argue, Howard Dean in my opinion has worked some magic with his strategy and hard work. I may be from Ohio, but right now I see Michigan as one great state.
