I DO NOT donate to elections when I pay taxes. You have to CHECK the BOX on your tax return, IF you want to donate. THAT'S how they get the money. Not everyone donates. I don't. See??

16. Another salient point is that McCain's public financing didn't kick in until AFTER the convention.
It's absurd to say that "we" paid for Sarah's wardrobe and makeover, the only people whose money was used for this were the people who donated to the RNC.
18. I think it did not break the law, but it reminds me of Alan Keyes paying himself a $100k salary from
campaign donations in some of his bizarre runs for office. The FEC ruled that to be legal. I would be hard pressed to decide who was more bat shit crazy: Alan Keyes or Sarah Palin.
