The long running series of "Obamarama Megathreads" on SomethingAwful.com's forums.
http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=2990294The first post in each thread is a compendium of information, with debunks, charts and links to tax info, Obama speeches etc. This is the main reason I posted this thread because some might find useful links there.
SA is not strictly speaking a political forum but the quality of information in these threads is often very good and keeps one current on all the major events of the race, although keeping current on DU does also.
It seems like the average demographic on SA is much younger than on the average political site and it seems like many if not most of the posters are students. But the energy and creativity level is high, and many megathread regulars have created websites, graphics, and videos related to the campaign (some of these are linked in the original post on each new thread), some of very high quality.
The threads move very fast. Sometimes they hit a hundred pages in only a few days if things are really crazy.
The biggest problem is that there isn't a good way to bookmark or organize information within a thread, it gets buried in a hundred pages of thread. It's not organized as well as something like GD:P in terms of having many small threads that can be bookmarked. The other problem is that while all important campaign news does get there, there is often a very high noise to signal ratio.
Anyway, I linked the top post of the newest megathread. Hopefully those who read it may find some useful or amusing info there.
$300K (including primaries and GE) have been raised for Obama by Obamarama Megathread posters this election season!
