Jeb Bush has freeloaded off the citizens of Florida for too many years and his job as governor borders on criminal as he has used the power of the state government itself against the citizens of Florida.

First, she falsely claimed on her declaration form to have bought only $500 worth of goods overseas. When Customs officials discovered shopping receipts in Mrs. Bush’s purse, she was asked if she wanted to change her story. When the governor’s wife insisted that she had bought only $500 worth of goods in Paris , agents searched her luggage and found otherwise. Columba Bush got off with an apology and a $4,100 fine.

I'm not condemning him for that: that sort of tragedy can happen to even the best parents. But this kid committed some major felonies to feed her habit, including forging prescriptions and breaking into pharmacies. Each time she got sent to a pricey rehab, and saw no jail time - which in my opinion is the appropriate thing to do with addicts. Her parents begged everyone to "respect their privacy".

All I could think of was: what if this kid had been a poor African American? Jeb would have been happy to lock her up for life. He favored draconian penalties for drug use, including heavy jail time, and loss of scholarships for pot smokers. Riiiight. That's the way to cut down on crime: make it nearly impossible for offenders to continue their education and lock them up with violent felons, so they can learn new skills.

It's the hypocrisy, stupid.
