Cut Mic Conversations
Cable News Talking Head Crap.

The only way for cable news talking head crap to be fair is to have a set number of seconds for each side. Toss a coin before the segment. Whoever wins chooses to go first or second. While one talking head pundit is talking, the other side's mic is cut.

Discuss.

1. Bring back the fairness doctrine!
That's the only solution at this point.

What gets me even more upset is that the media has become a 24/7 McCain advertisement campaign and its free! They cover his rally's constantly and on cue anytime the man opens his mouth. Then they just let what he says stand as fact and move on to something else.
That's the most striking thing to me.

2. To that I'd add, "answer the question".
Especially if it's a yes or no question, cut the mic if they go off on a tangent, get back to the question until it's answered.

3. That would be interesting. Fun to watch. Fixed # of Mins per guest.
It would be great if they suddenly just cut off a right winger talking over another guest because that guy already used up his 6 mins for the entire show.

That would be great. And that could limit the Dominate and Run Out the Clock technique Republican guests use.
