"Media's worried about whether I've paid taxes, silly things that have nothing to do with America"
'Joe the Plumber' strikes back at media
He says he's upset by the attention and feels terrible about the criticism

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27266143/

NEW YORK - "Joe the Plumber" is lashing out at the media for analyzing his personal life since he suddenly became a focal point of the presidential race last week.

Joe Wurzelbacher, a plumber from Holland, Ohio, told Mike Huckabee on his Fox News talk show Saturday that he is upset by the attention and has been unable to work with reporters crowded on his front lawn.

"The media's worried about whether I've paid my taxes, they're worried about any number of silly things that have nothing to do with America," Wurzelbacher told the former Republican presidential hopeful on his show, "Huckabee."

Wurzelbacher said he felt terrible after reading some of the criticism of himself posted online.

"I felt about that small," he said. "I mean I really did."

Republican presidential candidate John McCain has been portraying Wurzelbacher as emblematic of people with concerns about Obama's tax plans.

2. If he's that upset about it...
...then why is he on Huckabee's show talking about it? Why is he continuing to perpetuate the media attention?\
He could avoid the media until they get tired of him...which they will soon enough anyway.
Fuck him...I'm sick of hearing about him.

3. Welcome to the big league, Joe.
That's the way it is in politics. You didn't have to stick your neck out and then go out and give all those interviews, but you did and this is the result.

Fuck you Joe Plummer. Just another weasel that pokes his head into the fray without realizing there are consequences. The Pipe Fitters Union doesn't even like you.

11. Joe should feel about that small...
he is. He's more worried about some future date, when he might make it big, than he is about our country going down the tubes right now. That's pretty damn small. If he got a tax break now, he might actually pay his taxes. If he actually had a plumbers license and joined a union, he might make more of the money he so worships, and have some job security so he wouldn't be so frightened of not getting his piece of the pie.

12. Repeating my post on a similar topic from yesterday.
Dear Joe, Basic Science:
"Every action has an equal and opposite reaction."

Action: Getting on national TV, getting in a policy debate with a presidential candidate which became the rallying cry of your "guy", McCain.

Equal, Opposite Reaction: National media asking, "Who the F is this 'Joe the Plumber' guy and why did McCain bring him up 21 times?"

Next time, Joe, think about the possible consequences (also known as reactions) before you do something. Your life is damn near ruined now, and for what reason? Because you, or someone you know, decided it was a good idea to confront Obama? Hope that brief exchange was worth it because it sure looks like the following is about to happen:
- You're never gonna work under the table as a plumber again since your lack of license has been exposed.
- Ohio will be knocking on your door soon reminding you of your tax lien.
- Ohio may be suspending your driver's license since you lied about your suspended Arizona one.

None of this would have happened if you had just thought about the consequences of confronting Obama and getting your face on TV in an attempt to help your guy, McCain. This is entirely your fault, even if someone put you up to it because you could have just walked away and said, 'No, I'm not going to do that.'

You know when Obama talks about taking "personal responsibility"?
He means you, too.

In other words: You made your own bed and I have no damned sympathy for you.

16. Joe, you hypocrite...
You are exactly the kinda of right wing guy who rails against the tax burden, slams other peoples family values, slams 'shadowy ACORN', etc.

The problem is that you are a tax cheat. I pay all my taxes.

You have been divorced while your ideology lectures others.

You broke the law/order you claim to admire and got your Arizona Drivers License suspended. Yet somehow you are driving in Ohio?

You lied about your income. You were trying to make a snarky criticism of Obama--yet had you been truthful, you would of realized that you would do better under Obamas plan.

Your voter registration is listed under a wrong spelling of your name. You are the exact type of voter registration that would be purged under the GOP Obama/ACORN accusations.

You claim you are a plumber. But you are not licensed which is a violation of the law.

You are a hypocrite. I feel terrible that you and your hypocrisy were able to sidetrack the campaign.

19. He's gotta thank John Sidney McCain III every day, for the marvelous way he promoted
his dear emblematic little guy, Joe the Unlicensed Plumber.

Yes Joe, say your thanks to the wonderfully humble senior Senator from Arizona.

If the plumbing doesn't work out maybe he'll give you a job to pick lettuce for $50 per hour.

21. Hey Joe, You Moran! All You Got To Do Is Say No!
But being the shill and media whore that you are and the fact that they are giving you money, yes money, for these interviews for some reason (something for nothing you cheap prick) you just can't seem to say no. Fuck you again you piece of non-taxpaying, everything that's wrong with America, republican whore, piece of shit Joe. I bet that even after raking in the dough from all of this new-found fame (or is it infamy) that you still will not pay your taxes. By the way, how much is the McCain campaign paying you for your time? Hmmmmm!

22. This guy became a public figure the moment he gave his first press conference.
If he's not happy with that, he can blame two people - mcRacist and himself. It was mcRacist who first, and repeatedly, brought him up in the debate to score cheap points and it was himself who stood out in his front yard repeating the lies he told Obama and spewing his wingnut views on the country.

Because of this, the media not only has a right to investigate him, it has a responsibility to do so. He can cry all he likes about how unfair life is, but he is the one who has made it so.
