Powell: "Is there something wrong with some 7 year old Muslim American kind thinking...
...he can be president?"

and the story about the Muslim soldier who gave his life serving his country was precisely to criticize the tactics of the Republican party this year.

Now, this is a wonderful endorsement, so well spoken, so well expressed, so about what America should be that I think we couldn't have done better here.

Excellent statement Mr. Powell. :applause:

1. I very much agree.
Gen. Powell said what most of us have been saying in reference to the McCain campaign....and he said it well! Kudos to him.

3. He made that point with eloquence and sincerity. It's one
that I've seen, heard and said myself in the last few months, and to have General Powell state it so explicitly and so publicly must really frost some right leaning butts.

4. he even choked up at the end about the fallen soldier
as he expressed how wrong it is for Muslims in America to be looked down upon in this campaign.

It was not just about Obama it was about America being a place where all can contribute and be recognized for their contribution.

Very good and very moving.
