Idaho's largest-circualtion daily newspaper, the The Idaho Statesman, has endorsed Barack Obama for president. The Statesman cites Obama as a candidate who is capable of reaching reasoned conclusions, reaching across the political divides, and reaching out to the common American.

The Statesman has a daily circulation of over 60,000, mostly in the Boise metro area. Boise has been shifting increasingly Democratic in recent years. I wish I could make that claim for the rest of the state.
