ABC News's Good Morning America just did a brief piece that began
'To understand McCain, you must understand the Navy. To understand Obama, you must understand Hawaii, then cut immediately to a demonstration by the CURRENT Hawaiaan secessionist movement. It then went to things that make Hawaiians reluctant to fight, the primary one being Hawaii's racial diversity. When it ended, the anchor mentioned it was interesting to see the forces that shaped Obama.

WHAT?

2. I saw it as a positive piece
They talked about the Hawaiian attitudes that one talks out your problems.
They also said that they didn't like slime tactic, but preferred to sit down with ones enemies.

7. What was positive--or relevant--about leading with the secessionist movement of today when Obama has
not lived in Hawaii since he was graduated from high school? They were providing cover for Todd Palin. And never wanting to fight is not a great trait for the President of a nation currently involved in two real wars and a fake war on terra.

4. And yet they never draw the parallel of Palin's membership in a secessionist
movement.

6. Call it what it is, journalistic malpractice for ABC conveniently ignoring this relevant fact.

11. I know what you mean, but, technically, malpractice is negligence. This was an intentional. effort
to provide cover for Todd Palin, to emphasize the racial issue and to make Obama seem as though he would be an appeaser.

8. Um, there is NO parallel. Palin was a member of a secessionist party for years. What goes on in
Hawaii today did NOT shape Obama in the 60's and 70's, when he lived there. Obama was never part of the secessionist movement, nor did it "shape" him.

good. Ayers turned himself in, but the charges were dropped bc of government misconduct. Therefore, through no fault of his own, Ayers, according to McCain, has to be a pariah forever. Please, God, help me not to hate a large portion of my own country. Please help me.

12. Here is a link to contact information for ABC News. This would, of
course be Good Morning America (Weekend edition). http://abcnews.go.com/Site/page?id=3068843. I don't think info on this story is on the website yet. Maybe once the show is off the air, it will be here. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Weekend/

You know what to do.

14. ABC has zero credibility.
They are no more credible than Fox News. But they should be called for this smear piece. Every time one of these one sided "news" sources gives slanted information they should be called out.
