Freeper heads exploding (re: Obama's 150 million month)
Who sent him the money? Castro? Soros? Chavez? Ayers? Rezko? Inquiring minds want to know.

Who sent him the money? Castro? Soros? Chavez? Ayers? Rezko? Inquiring minds want to know.
Of course, the old answer is: we won't know that until after the election. It's nice to know that Obama learned something from all of Bill Clinton's time in politics.

Is this slightly incredible? $150 million? In a month?
Ghadaffi said there were lots of dollars coming from the ME to help Obama win- I guess he was right..

Everyone has to play by the rules except Obama and the rest of the Democrats

I didn't know Hussein accepted contributions in foodstamps and WIC

Follow the money. Barack Hussein Obama is a dirty politician who wants to win at any cost to America.
The money is Middle Eastern money given illegally.
But he hides behind the law on the 200.00 contribution.
This is a RICO crime. But the media evidently has been well paid off or they would be screaming.
The want the advertisment revenue. Obama showed them the cash and the are getting drunk and fat on the Illegal money as America is losing its Soul in this election.
Obama is a Fraud that will destroy America with his vision.
The Manchurian Canididate - Barack Hussein Obama.

There is no way this is coming from American voters, they cant afford to, this is coming from outside the country, no doubt about it at all, we are seeing America be bought out.

How does someone raise $150M and stay within the confines of the legal process?
They don’t.
The internet makes donations from foreign sources anonymous.
Hacking and ID theft sneaks charges onto the credit cards of unsuspecting citizens who didn’t donate in the first place.
Large donations are divided up to look like they came from a dozen or more smaller entities.
None of it is legal.

This seems shady. With this cash, he can basically run ads 24/7 from now until election in every battleground state.

66. You're right. I use to work in County Human Services and...
every fall the lobby would be filled with construction workers filing for welfare and food stamps as their seasonal jobs ended. I knew some of these people. Many of them blew their money at the bars while they spouted off about the low life "welfare queens", as Reagan implied and Paul Harvey put it, "stealing their hard earned pay".

One of them had stood in my checkout line in Target in a prior year and yelled out to the other customers that I was collecting welfare and food stamps and cheating "all you hard working tax payers". It kind of backfired on him as the people began applauding and openly congratulating me for working and trying to better myself. Several men along with the store manager told him to leave, and that he did in anger and with his tail between his legs.

Did I mention that this was at Christmas time and the lines were long? Every person who went through my line after him provided words of encouragement or just nodded their support. I stood there with tears in my eyes from both embarrassment and immense appreciation.

25. Actually, I think the Good Doctor Dean invented the new way of
doing things--and Obama's team just perfected it. History will show that the sea change began with the decision of Howard Dean to enter the political arena. Even after his presidential run was over, Dean stayed to do the work necessary to lay the ground for Obama or someone like him.

I am not even a Christian, and I don't think of Obama as the messiah by any means (I am actually a disillusioned former Edwards supporter who is now glad and relieved that Obama defeated Edwards), yet I can't help thinking of the story of John the Baptist paving the way for one who would come after him.

Howard Dean is going to shine very, very brightly in history if our nation ultimately survives the damage done by the Republicans.

I think he will always be underrated and under-appreciated. He did indeed pave the way, both with internet organizing and the 50-state strategy. It amazed me that Obama saw all that and ran with it. I remember thinking, "wow, somebody finally gets it!"

They'd be in that $50-$100 range. September's donations show the major backlash against Palin. I suspect we're going to see some very interesting Republican names on that list when it comes out, too.

73. Have you ever noticed that everything the right accuses us of
is what they actually do themselves? They are masters of projecting their own faults onto us. A case in point is the ridiculous charge that Obama is being funded with Middle Eastern money. These are the people that have given their hearts and soul to a "president" that is practically owned by the Saudis, and who has close ties to the Bin Laden family. Every charge they level at us is what they themselves are truly guilty of. It's amazing that in this day and age, people can be so deluded.

Even small amounts add up when they are coming from hundreds of millions of people. And since his base can't afford to max out their contributions up front the way the fatcats can, they just keep on giving and giving and giving--like the Energizer donators.

55. We had one of these math challenged freeper types up here to deliver ranch fuel
About a month or so ago - said he'd be told that Obama's donations were really coming from Tony Rezko, because no way could Obama be getting all that dough from just average donations.

Dh said to him - let's say 3 million people donate just $25 per month - that would be $75 million. And the fact is that some people are donating much, much more each month. Might be more or less people donating, more or less per donation, but play around with the numbers and it just doesn't take many of our 350 million population to achieve what he is seeing in donations. DH mentioned that I, as an independent, was donating bucks periodically for the first time in my 50 years - so get a clue, dude, about how widespread this is even past typical democratic support. Probably some of his republican friends on the sly as well.

Guy just stood there and mouth breathed for a bit - finally said oh. Hadn't thought about that or done the math.

33. All in a twist about the dumbest things, while they empower the worst criminals
this planet has ever seen. I never cease to be amused, annoyed, frustrated, enraged, amazed by that. They themselves enable the worst crime wave there ever was, and instead of ever bothering to notice that fact, they endlessly suspect all kinds of nonsense in mundane things about innocent people, who are in fact the "good guys".

Take all that suspicion and put it to work in the right place, idiots! They're like one big, continuous "doh" headslap. They really are a sector of society in arrested development - at about the age of 12.

Ah well, I guess as long as enough middle-of-the-road voters can get a glimpse of what "the base" of that screwed up party really is, they'll matter less and less.

And McGrumpy talking about "wealth" to those obviously non-rich Freeperheads, as he's been doing in his rallies lately, is just the height of absurdity to watch. It's like giving a speech on calculus to a daycare center.

35. Freeper logic obviously doesn't compute the fact that millions of people have given less than $200
via online contributions. These contributions, because they are U.S. domestic VISA/MC/AmEx/Discover credit cards, are U.S. only in nature. As such, these credit cards have their own built-in legal residence and credit checks before the cards are issued.

So there is no way any significant portion of $150 million can come from the Middle East as those idiot freepers claim.

37. Dear Fellow Americans (who sadly are Freepers),
Not only is it legal and possible, but it happened.

What made it happen was your continued pattern of hatred and your favored politician's patterns of wrecking this great country.

In September the bunch of you ramped up your usual racist, hateful diatribes to outrageous levels while your chosen candidates exposed themselves as wholey unqualified. Like many others, THAT spurred me to donate to Obama for the first time.

This month you are crying foul over the fact that our chosen candidate benefited from an outpouring of support because of your actions. In response I have donated again and hope that others will as well.

I sincerely hope you all drown in pro-Obama advertising, and ground game, and most importantly on Nov 4th, despite election fraud efforts already evident on your candidate's behalf I hope you drown in the wave of votes for Obama.

We're sacrificing for the survival and good of this great country while you continue to spew bile and hatred. We're putting country first while you wipe your backsides with the principals that made it great.

On behalf of myself and many others ... Go TO HELL FREEPER SCUM!

"I think they should have the same amount of money to spend for campaigning.

lol. That sounds socialist. McCain had the choice to use the funds that were sent to him, but he wanted to use big government to bail him out. That just kills me that he used tax payers to fund his campaign. That is completely opposite of what Republicans are for."

Coupled with the hilarious thread of how they just could believe the pictures of the 100,000 in St Louis yesterday is really making me smile. :loveya:

Hope is going viral for the reality based Americans and fear is settling in for freepers - I can't wait til the day it's official for them Nov. 4th! Maybe it's their turn to be asked to leave the country. I know I won't miss them if they choose to leave.

47. Who sent him the money? I did freepers. $25 or $50 at a time.
I sent him money when I looked at my kids and knew they deserved better than the last 8 years.

I sent him money when I opened the morning paper and read about another plant closing and hundreds of people losing their jobs.

I sent him money when I learned a co-worker was having to spend some nights at work because the price of gas was too high for him to commute every day.

I sent him money when I listened (and cried) to his acceptance speech at the DNC and felt an overwhelming sense of optimism and community.

Guess what, freepers? Obama's supporters are mainly people like me--regular people who have HOPE, not hate, and as Senator Obama told us months ago, *WE* are the ones who will change things.

When I opened the statement from my 401K and discovered the money I'd painfully been saving for decades was going down the toilet.

So I can afford it less now. But - hey! - you Freepers claim to be good Christians: check out the Widow's Mite. You might learn something.

53. Dear Freeptards:
Edited on Sun Oct-19-08 09:44 AM by smoogatz
Try to wrap your little pinheads around this (I know, I know--thinking is physically painful for you: try anyway): 85% (85%!) of the American people think the country is on the wrong track. That's the highest that number has ever been. Only 23-25% think Bush is doing a good job (well below Nixon's worst numbers) and they're either ignorant or delusional. Most Americans have figured out, God bless 'em, that American "conservatism" is a fraud--a massive Ponzi-scheme (look it up, freeptards) designed to extract money from the poor and middle class and hand it to the rich. Americans are sick of it. They'd like to try something different: something that doesn't suck. The American people (real Americans, not you racist, fascist freeper douchebags) have once again seen the right-wing for what it is: a coalition of racists, bigots, fascists and the corporate ruling class, incapable of governing and unconcerned with the rule of law and the welfare of the people. Real Americans are sick of conservatives and conservatism, sick of the cheap politics of smear and hate, sick of the incompetence, greed and corruption, sick of letting conservatives wreck the country we love. We're sick and tired and pissed off, and that's why so many of us have given to the Obama campaign: Republicans left the country exposed to terrorist attack; Republicans told us Iraq was an existential threat; Republicans sat on their hands as New Orleans drowned; Republicans have systematically looted the treasury and given the money to their fatcat pals; Republicans have wrecked the economy and handed us $10 trillion in debt; Republicans are now running the most racist and divisive presidential campaign since George Wallace and telling us they represent change (a theme they "borrowed" from Barack Obama). We know the truth: Republicans offer nothing but more of the same: more war, more tax breaks for the rich, more trashing of the Constitution, more incompetence, more favoritism for the corporate ruling class. Well, fuck that. I'm getting out my credit card as I write this, and I'm going to donate as much as I can afford (again) to Obama. Then I'm going to Daily Kos and donate to a few key down-ticket races, too.

Oh, and one more thing: when Obama wins, all you freeptard cracker assholes will be our slaves. Just so you know.

64. That's fucking weak...
The internet makes donations from foreign sources anonymous.
Hacking and ID theft sneaks charges onto the credit cards of unsuspecting citizens who didn’t donate in the first place.
Large donations are divided up to look like they came from a dozen or more smaller entities.
None of it is legal.

He's not even able to provide bullshit examples from right-wing propaganda sources, let alone legitimate examples from an unbiased source. If someone had had their credit cars or identities jacked, we would have heard something by now. It's not as though Obama's only been the nominee for a few weeks.

America finally woke up and found it wasn't just a nightmare! When the going gets tough, the tough make sacrifices. And, remember, all those thousands of people who are out on the streets don't have to scrimp and save just to make their usury mortgages any more--that freed up a lot of cash!

Then $150 Million / 43 Million voters yields
an donation of $3.30 per Democratic voter.

Why is that so hard to believe? I guess
FReepers were afraid to do the math because it
