4. Webb is doing a great job for Barack. I trust Barack Obama---says Webb.
The only one who has the sophistication of knowledge and ability in foreign policy is Barack. He has a keen understanding and vision of where this country needs to go both domestically and foreign. (paraphrasing) He has the judgment. Brings up the choice of Veep.

16. He likes his Pie! Obama MUST have pie at his campaign stops.
I have no idea but it reminds me of the Rock on WWE, years ago he used to have a skit about pie but it was not the kind Obama is talking about, well you guys know what I mean....

17. I hear ya, and this local farm stand makes the best
apple caramel pie ever (I swear it is like crack). That said, I am a little confused about the pie story...

18. It's part of a narrative..
Walking into a republican owned diner and asking the owner how business is and then saying perhaps he should give the Democrats a try.

I digress:

Pi Pie!

14. I like pie as much as anyone, but if the whole point of that pie story is
"you might as well try the Democrats because we can't do any worse than Bush" I don't think it's very effective.

19. He's connecting on a personal level with people.
Most everyone likes pie. It may be simple, but sometimes simple is better.

And have you ever noticed that we know something food related about most of the recent presidents?

Carter - peanuts
Reagan - Jelly beans
Bush 1 - hated broccoli
Clinton - loved burgers and fries
Bush 2 - won't eat anything more than PB&J or grilled cheese if he has the choice

Just an observation.

22. Obama in Roanoke
I just watched Obama in Roanoke. I am even more impressed than I was before.
I'm from the Roanoke area, and people start lining up at 7:30am to get into the parking lot. To bad we don't have an even larger venue here. Hope you all enjoyed it and were equally impressed
