2. I have a personal experience with Mr. Greenwood
When I was in the Army in the early 90's they started playing that horrific song (I mean that from a music fan perspective) right after reveille and taps (beginning and end formations of the day).

At first no one knew what to do-is this official? Are we supposed to stand at attention? parade rest?

I got sick of that song very quickly. This went on for at least 6 months after the first Gulf War.
