May have already been posted, but I just saw it, and haven't been on DU as much the last few days.

1. That's why that whole Country First
bullshit was just that - bullshit. NO WAY is that woman ready to take over the Presidency and McCain didn't care. He has no honor or credibility.

2. K/R. Of all the awful things McCain has done, the Palin pick remains the most insulting.
The thought of McCain, not being of sound mind and body, selecting that woman for VP is truly frightening and, I repeat, insulting to America as a whole.

3. "They" (Republican leadership?) didn't let him choose
McCain didn't get to pick his running mate, hinted at Joe Lieberman. Sounds like they put McCain in a bamboo cage and lit him up with electrodes. Damn "them".

The article didn't seem to guess at "why Palin?". The choice is curious. She's not only inexperienced, but she and her family and her record just seem bizarre. It seems they pulled her name out of thin air, with no checks.

They could have picked Joe the Plumber - oh, wait, he wanted to pick Joe the Traitor.
