It seems like it takes a couple of days for the polls to show the bounce. Any thoughts?

1. Asked & answered
It takes a couple of days as polls are averaged over 3 days, so you have to wait 'till Saturday/Sunday to see the full effect.

2. I hope so but those robo calls that practically say Obama eats babies are coming out, too.

4. You won't
The race is firm now. If anything, there might be some tightening.

The problem for McCain is that Obama is firm at about 50%.

6. The Polls are but a tool of the media.
The Polls are but a tool of the media. Figure it this way, the media is supported by advertisers and if the polls do not show a close race the viewers will become disinterested. I am hoping for an Obama landslide. Just realize that this election will probably be close. It's the voters in the privacy of the voting booth that I'm worried about. 1860 was not that long ago in terms of time or culture. What is important now more than the polling is to talk with all of your friends and even people you do not know, at the supermarket or in line at post office for example, and show great enthusiasm and confidence for Barack Obama. Personally I don't care about the polls and will fight to the last moment to advance the cause of Barack Obama for President.

7. People are going to vote as the polls are showing.
I've never met a racist who cared enough to be "PC" when talking to anyone, let alone a pollster.

Those planning to vote McCain have no reason to hide it--it doesn't denote racism.

The polls are right, and Obama will win.

8. If anything, they'd do the opposite: publicly support McCain & secretly vote for Obama.
