I Can't Believe Some DUers Want To Bury The JTP Story
JTP meaning...well, you know.

Look, imagine Obama had plucked out some dude he heard about (never met) and basically wrapped his entire campaign around this one guy and said, essentially, "look, this guy here, he's the reason I'm more qualified to be president than my opponent."

And imagine the dude Obama picked out turned out to be a total fabrication of what they were setting him up to be.

Don't you think the RW media and the mainstream media in general would be having a field day with it? That it would reflect BADLY on the Obama campaign and we'd never hear the end of it from now until the day of the election - that every McCain surrogate would be on tv hammering home what a joke this representative person was?

Please.

Do you understand politics at all? This isn't shuffleboard, this is bear-knuckles wrestling.

Squeeze this JTP story for all it's worth (which is probably two or three more days at most) then get back to hammering McCain for whatever stupid shit he pulls next.

Seriously, it's not that hard to figure out. Your opponent leaves his backdoor open, you break in and bust stuff up.

1. DUers number a lot of wusses who are genuinely too scared to fight for things like this....

Thankfully they've been 100% completely dead wrong about almost ALL of them, most famously the "ignore Sarah Palin" dumbshittery.

Go with Kos - break their fucking spirits.

I realize there are people uncomfortable with aggressive language and action. That's the difference between liberal weenies and movement progressives. Liberal weenies sit around thinking that "the truth" is enough for victory, and that if we simply explain to voters why Democrats are better, why, we can't possibly lose any elections! That's the crowd that wants to keep the "high ground" and doesn't want to go down in the gutters and fight the GOP where they live, lest we get a little muddied ourselves.

Movement progressives realize that we must do everything necessary allowable under the law to win because elections have consequences. This isn't about who is most pure, but about taking the fight to the enemy and aggressively embracing progressivism, offering clear contrasts between us and them, and fighting fire with fire. There's no ambiguity about where I belong.

So to my fellow movement progressives, embrace that killer instinct and let's finish the job. We've got conservatives demoralized and on the run. They are retrenching around their most important voices. So let's pick off those they've left exposed and go after their best defended leaders as well. Let's get rid of John Shadegg and Mitch McConnell and Liddy Dole and the rest of them. Leave them leaderless, and susceptible to takeover by the Evangelical Right that so freaked out Wall Street conservatives during the primaries (when Huckabee was briefly in the lead).

Let's run up Obama's margins in the Blue states and narrow them in the Red states to give Obama a huge, unmistakable national mandate. Let's win states Bush won by 20 points or so in 2004, like Indiana, Montana and North Dakota, to rub salt in their wounds. Let's keep forcing them to go more and more into debt, so that they emerge from the election with their coffers drained, heavily in debt.

EDIT: Added excerpt.

3. Agreed.
Obsessing over, nitpicking about and sliming the hell out of Palin has produced quantifiable results. No reason not to give McCrap's latest gimmick the same treatment. Get the flamethrowers, boys and girls!

McCain, for wanting America to think $250,000 is just your "Joe Average" salary. Mr. Average American is a tax cheat already, so we know how he feels about contributing his share even under Bush tax policies. He's also completely willing to lie about his situation without hesitation and McCain has no compulsion catapulting that propaganda. Joe the Plumber is definitely no average American, but from what I see these days, he's very much an average Republican. I see no harm pointing that out.

8. What if it was Ahmad the Plumber, or Tyrone the Plumber?
How much concern would McCain have? Would he be wrapping his campaign plan around him?

Of course, my guess is only a repuke dope like Joe would bitch about making so much money, his tax rates go up.
