A conversation with my 7-year old, who gets to vote in a mock election in his class
So when I pick him up, he is excited and tells me that he can't wait to vote for Obama.

"Good for you!" I reply.

He said, "You know what Alice said?"

"No, what did Alice say?"

He said, "Alice said she wants to vote for John McCain, and I told her she shouldn't because Obama was a better choice. Then she said, McCain was in the war, so he knows about war."

"Hmmm..." I started to reply, and my son interrupted and said, "Just because McCain was in a war doesn't mean he knows how to solve a war. Just because he knows how blow things up doesn't mean he's better at knowing anything about war. Him wanting to blow things up just means he'll start more wars ... And, Obama knows more about taxes anyway."

"Did you tell Alice that?" I asked.

"Yes, but she didn't listen."

:D

15. I have in my mind the photo of that woman who was on with Randi Rhodes
the one who literally stuck her fingers in her ears when Randi was talking, do you know which one I'm thinking of?

9. The same might be said about mine, since they've lived and breathed Dempolitics since they were born
But, being a product of both a Republican and a Democrat, I'd like to think his choice to lean Democrat is genetic. :)

10. in my 1st grade class
I substitute teach and heard an interesting conversation at the back of the class as they were switching to go to reading. This little fellow was spouting "Obama will increase the cost of food and make gas increase cost more". It's interesting how parents indoctrinate their children. The other 2 kids were sad because they like Obama and they looked like they were starting to believe this 'little McCain guy'.
