Why is it only "class warfare" when the poor benefit from something?
But not when the rich and giant corporations benefit?

5. You're not supposed to ask that
You're supposed to have a pavlovian negative reaction to those words and not question further.

6. I'm reading Atlas Shrugged right now and
I guess they'd say that it's class warfare in that case because the rich and corporations are the drivers of the economy and the rest of us benefit from their success.

That's my best explanation.

10. Hiliarious
I have to admit though, I am getting a lot out of this book. Although I'm idealogically opposed to objectivism, I feel like I'm learning more about really committing to a cause and being the best at it. As I've been a generalist all my life, this is a lesson I can't ever seem to learn.

I still have a long way to go in the book.

8. He uses old words and old sounding phrases
that have no pertinence to the voters today. It absolutely floors me every time he uses Herbert Hoover as a reference. Are you kidding me? I would wager that at least 50% of the electorate have no idea who Hoover is, and if pressed the best they would come up with is that he was once a President.

15. There was another one...
Gawd, I can't put my finger on it, but when I heard him use the word I was like, there is no one under 60 that can relate to that word.

13. The history of "Class Warfare" is interesting and goes back as long
as there have been some that have had more than others.

The French Revolution was based on "Class Warfare", as was our own. Nazi's and Communists claimed "Class Warfare", right up to the point where those who truly benefited began to accumulate vast fortunes.

Human greed is the catalyst for many things, but when the poor guy who tills the fields for 18 hr's a day and gets pennies while others garnish millions there is going to be trouble.

Those that "have", will always call those who "need" "Class Warriors"....but we are those warriors.
