I don't mind the small bump here. I suspect that there was anticipation for McCain to do better built into these numbers going in to the debate, something along the thought process of "I'm leaning towards McCain, let's see how he does at the debate".

11. When a McCain spokesman referenced Rasmussen, Chris Matthews said, "You mean the Republican poll?"

Last night, when Matthews mentioned the NYT poll which had Obama 14 points ahead of McCain, a McCain spokesman
shot back, "Well, Rasmussen has it at 5."

Matthews said, "Oh, Rasmussen? The Republican pollster?"

The McCain spokesman didn't deny it.

So take Rasmussen's number for what they're worth. Which is not much.

Now 50-44, down from 51-43 yesterday and 53-40 two days ago :(

But the DailyKos tracking poll is the same (52-41) and Zogby is back up 1 point to a 5-point Obama lead.
