The only comment I heard was from Tom Brokaw, who I think described McCain as "feisty."

McCain looked like your crazy uncle at the reunion with his bug-eyed look, blinking like crazy, even when he wasn't talking.

1. Simply a look of desperation,
a look of defeat.

6. I'm sure McSame realizes he is going to lose unless there
is some extraordinary happening or Obama explodes. He (McSame) doesn't expect either to happen, so in three weeks the campaign is over and so is his career. He will have to return to a Democratically controlled Senate when he spent the last several months trashing one of it's more popular members. Not just the regular trash talk of a "normal" campaign, McSame took out all the stops and did his best to incite the general population to violence in a not too subtle manner. Pay back is only a few weeks away. It is my hope the Senate shuns McSame and shows him their back at every possible moment. I think McSame knows and fears this more than anything in his life. That would explain his look of desperation and defeat.

7. The RNC is turning
their backs on him here in Wisconsin already by pulling all ads. Interesting wouldn't you say. Of course the McSame camp will continue to run their negative, false ads.

Yes, he truly must realize there is no hope for him anymore.

4. He's done that bizarre blinking thing during every debate.
Excessive blinking means nervousness and/or deceipt. In his case it's probably a little of both.

5. His running mate, contrary to her statements, blinks a lot, too. Some body language experts claim
that blinking is a sign of lying. But, McCain does it even when he is not talking.

BTW, I am not trying to claim that reading body language is a science. To the contrary, I am suspicious of it. And McCain may be the victim of nothing more than contact lenses. But, whatever, all that blinking is odd, to say the least. So, I call both McCain and Palin "Winken, Blynken and Odd," after the old nursery rhyme.

18. It's not 100% but it's often very informative
as I've posted in another thread, recall Condi Rice testifying about the memo that was written prior to 9/11. She could not stop blinking. Or lying.

9. The press is ignoring that McCain isn't all there. I swear they could put
a cadaver up there and the press would say he had a good debate.

19. I was tempted to look out my window to see of a pig had escaped
from somewhere and was outside my house making these annoying noises. I could not believe they were coming from my tv until I started reading that others heard these sounds.

He is a very very crude and small man

20. I thought I heard something like snoring, then assumed it was
just a noise from outside. Did I really hear some sort of longish snort? He looked like a cadaver last night and his hands reminded me of claws. The tongue thing is just gross.
Slouched in chair, gritted teeth. Altogether a vision I'd rather forget. Shivers.

13. Apologies in advance to Vietnam Vets, but he looks like he's doing morse code from Hanoi Hilton
Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 07:30 AM by HamdenRice
There was a famous case of an American POW in Vietnam, a naval aviator named Jeremiah Denton who was put before their tv for propoganda purposes. Denton blinked strangely, and the blinking was read as morse code for the word "t-o-r-t-u-r-e".

Everytime I seen McCain blinking like that, I think of the Denton case.

Except it looks like McCain is signaling, "I a-m n-o-t n-o-r-m-a-l," or "I d-o-n-t w-a-n-t t-o b-e h-e-r-e d-e-b-a-t-i-n-g t-h-e c-o-l-o-r-e-d g-u-y p-l-e-a-s-e s-e-n-d h-e-l-p!"

Sadly, Denton, when released, Denton became a right wing nut job Senator from Alabama.

17. He was either on some kind of UPPERS, or he is incapable of sitting still.
I strongly suspect if a drug counselor like Dr. Drew observed someone behaving like that, they'd say the person was on some kind of drug that caused edgy behaviors.
