Did y'all notice that when McCain said that Palin knows about special needs children,
on the CNN tracking graph doohickey at the bottom of the screen, women responses went well into negative territory? I will tell you that many women I know have a very negative reaction to Palin's mothering record. Like it or not, this strikes a chord.

2. I didn't see that but it's interesting.
Also, he cited autism rather than Down's Syndrome which is what the Palin child has. Oops!

3. I thought it was funny that the men's meter when up when he spoke of Palin
and the women's went down. It was weird, he was talking fluff (McCain) about Palin and the men were eating it up. Meanwhile the women were rolling their eyes and saying "oh, please...give me a break!"

Most of us know what real work is, what real challenges are, what real mothering looks like, and Sarah Palin is not the genuine article on our meters!

4. Yeah, I noticed the rise in the men's line when Palin was discusssed.
The choice of Palin has definitely cost him the women's vote. She is off the meter when it comes to women's issues and women see her for what she is--an actor playing a role. For some men, I think she is their fantasy woman, although it makes me wonder what the heck kind of messages we are giving the sons of the nation about women and their lives and men and their roles.
