We've left Ayers and we're now talking about Joe the Plumber.
Or Werzelberger, as McCain said.

6. He actually is real. His last name is Werzelbacher (I may have spelled that wrong)
but McCain called him Werzelberger. LOL

4. Yes, but that's just as screwed up.
Almost no plumbing shops -- especially new small businesses -- kick off $250,000 in PROFIT. Any decent accountant should be able to carry forward losses for the first 10 years anyway.

Andrea Mitchell just reported that their fact checking confirmed that Joe's business would not be making 250,000

7. Yes, I think people confuse earnings and profit.
Profit is what is taxed, isn't that right?

I think it's a mighty huge business that can make $250,000 a year AFTER expenses.

8. The average voter
Won't even think this Joe is a real person....that was a name drawn from thin air. No different than, "Frank the taxi cab driver"

10. I agree completely.
I never would have known about Joe if it hadn't been for the diligence of the folks here at DU posting that transcript the other day. LOL
